Artists who inspire

Yayoi Kusama: The power of polka dots

Yayoi Kusama, is an artist whose distinctive use of dots transcends mere aesthetics. Her work is amazing as it lets you discover how using dots can create moving and captivating art.

I admire Yayoi as she has had a lifetime struggle with her mental health, yet this has not stopped her creating and becoming a world wide success. There is much to be learned by studying her work.

A good resource is to check out the book 'Women's work' from feminine arts by Ferren Gipson which features some of her work.
